Specifications

Bleed Specifications – Magazine trim size is 10” x 13” perfect bound. For full-page bleed ads, allow for 3/16” trim on each edge. All type and images must allow a minimum of 1/2” from actual trim size (1/4” each side).

Ads submitted on disk – Please supply a CD or DVD that includes all supporting files along with a contract color proof. All ads should match Water’s Edge measurements exactly, or they may be returned to advertiser for correction of size. Changes made in-house to correct ad size will be charged accordingly.

Software – For ads supplied electronically, we accept QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or an Acrobat PDF file. Convert all RGB images to CMYK. Convert all colors to process unless PMS color is intended. All images and final ads should be 300dpi. All screen and printer fonts and original art files must accompany ads submitted electronically.

Ad design – We offer complete in-house production services to all our advertisers. When submitting materials for advertising design, we require high resolution digital files, printed photographs or slides as well as digitally designed logos and artwork.

Advertising Policies

The Publisher reserves the right to refuse or cancel any advertisement.

Advertiser represents and warrants that all statements contained in copy submitted by Advertiser are true, and Advertiser agrees that it will indemnify and hold harmless Publisher from liability, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and other costs of defense, arising from any action or claims for libel, slander, disparagement, trade libel, invasion of privacy, or other causes of action resulting from the publications of Advertiser’s copy.

Submission of print-ready copy is the responsibility of the advertiser. Material from most recent insertion will be used if new material is not received by published art deadline. If no previous insertion is available, client is liable for cost of contracted space not used; space will be allocated at the discretion of the publisher. Publisher reserves the right to alter any printing materials received at variance with published mechanical requirements; advertiser will be invoiced for such alterations on material received after the published art materials due date, even if an extension to deadline has been granted by the Publisher.

Advertising set to resemble news matter must carry the word “Advertisement” at the top of the advertisement.

Publisher will not be liable for failure to publish or distribute the publication because of labor disputes, acts of God, fire, civil disturbances or any other circumstances beyond the publisher’s control.

Publisher will not be liable for failure to publish an advertisement for any reason.

Payment Terms

All rates are net cash with order unless credit has been approved by the Publisher. Where credit has been extended, invoices are payable on terms stipulated on the invoice statement. Publisher will invoice advertiser on a monthly or cash basis depending on financial condition and known credit data. All charges that are 30 days or more past due will be assessed a delinquent charge of 1.5% per month. The delinquent charges will continue monthly until account becomes current.
